WP8011 is a highly integrated wireless power transmitter which integrates a full-bridge MOSFETs, MOSFETs drivers, current sense amplifier, bootstrap circuits, communication demodulators, linear regulator and protection circuits. The WP8011 can be designed to work with a controller to achieve a high-performance wireless power transmitter that compliant with the latest WPC V1.2.4 Extended Power Profile (EPP) and Baseline Power Profile (BPP). The WP8011+WP8016/WP7038 work together as a wireless power transmitter can provide up to 20W output power.
The wireless power transfer system supports EPP required foreign object detection (FOD) by continuously monitoring the amount of power transferred and comparing that to the amount of received power, as reported by the receiver. To achieve FOD detection, the WP8011 supports measurement of the input DC
current very accurately using a current sense amplifier. The WP8011 includes a rich of protection mechanism during operation, input under-voltage lockout (UVLO), over-current protection (OCP), short-circuit protection (SCP) and over- temperature protection (OTP). These protections further enhance the reliability of the total wireless power transmitter system.
